Baltic Basket

what everyday life costs

What this is

Baltic Basket gathers the official figures behind everyday costs in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia: heating, food, electricity, motor fuel, gas, firewood, rent.

The figures come from official statistics, regulator-approved tariffs, exchanges and suppliers' own price lists. Every figure names its source, and where sources disagree we show the spread.

National averages, not the price on your bill. Where two countries cannot honestly be compared, we say so.

31,598 readings, some back to 2005. Click any number for its full history and the date it describes.

Early version. Numbers are official statistics, not shop-shelf prices.
